Chapter 3: From Fool to Madman
As the music came to an end and the crowd dispersed, Han Shuo no longer chose to remain here. While muttering curses under his breath, he dragged his weary and frail body, making his way awkwardly towards his storeroom.
After the one man and four women stood face to face again, Lisa stared intently at Han Shuo for a few moments, and then indignantly said: "I won't hold it against you for hiding stones in your pants, but what were you planning to do climbing up the tree to my window in the middle of the night?"
Jack was startled, jumped up, and grabbed Han Shuo, using his body weight to hold him back. In surprise, he hurriedly said: "Brian, are you crazy? Haven't we gotten used to this already? Buck is a necromancy apprentice; it's not like this is our first time being attacked. If he doesn't come after us, we should be happy. Why seek revenge on him?"
After Lisa entered, silence returned to this place. Han Shuo felt a bit of fear after seeing her go in. Fortunately, Lisa did not use necromancy; otherwise, with her power as a novice mage, if another "Wraith" were to come at him, Han Shuo would probably go mad.
Startled, Han Shuo secretly thought that Lisa and the others had not noticed anything different about him. He did not expect that Jack, this foolish fat man, would sense it the moment he spoke his first sentence
If Han Shuo had not acted so foolishly, he would likely have faced the wrath of these three girls in addition to Lisa. However, since he is a person of unstable mind, the three girls naturally chose not to argue with a madman, thus letting Han Shuo off the hook and returning to their sweet dreams.
He chuckled twice, pointing at a tattered bag hanging from the large tree, and said matter-of-factly: "Take down that ragged bag!"
What good is it, I am starving to death, Jack do you have something to eat, if you do, hurry and give it to me, I will return it to you after I visit www.hetushu.com
Oh. Han Shuo replied foolishly, but in his heart, he was secretly laughing. A few tender little daisies, I can still handle you.
Han Shuo felt that the spot kicked by Lisa not only did not hurt at all, but also felt extremely comfortable. His whole body was in pain, yet this sudden sensation of comfort from that spot made Han Shuo involuntarily let out a soft sound, and this soft "ah" seemed indescribably lewd, as if...
With a light laugh, Han Shuo smiled slightly and said, "This time I was struck by Lisa's 'vengeful spirit' and nearly died. After this incident, I feel that I have not lived correctly in the past, and I want to change myself."
As Han Shuo's mind wandered, he felt pain all over his body. The little witch Lisa was still wildly hitting him. Poor Han Shuo was extremely weak; after the first blow struck his nose, tears involuntarily streamed down his face. After falling from the tree, he felt even more disoriented from the pain, curling up on the ground and exposing the fleshiest parts of his body for Lisa to hit—such as his buttocks.
A sudden cry, one high and one low, erupted from the mouths of Han Shuo and Lisa. Lisa suddenly felt that Han Shuo's right hip was harder than iron, and the immense pain in her small foot made her instinctively retract it, crying out in distress.
Compared to Lisa, the three girls, Amy, Asina, and Bella, are considerably less attractive. They are all sixteen or seventeen years old, and their looks are not particularly striking to begin with. Disturbed sleep will further affect their beauty, and naturally, the mood of the three girls is quite poor at the moment
"What an idiot..." Han Shuo thought to himself with a cold smile, then, looking somewhat bewildered, he struggled to get up and said with a silly grin, "Haha, no, I don't have any stones or books stuffed in my pants!"
Ah Wow
"What are you doing with a garbage bag at this hour?" Lisa felt as if she were about to go mad, shouting furiously.
Asina seemed very tired, covering her mouth as she yawned, and said: "Oh... tomorrow I still have class, so I will head back to sleep now. Senior Lisa, you can handle it!"
Little chubby Jack, who is the same age as Brian, is perhaps one of the few people who treats Brian well due to their shared misfortunes. Jack, belonging to the necromancer class, comes from a poor family. Two years ago, his father, Old Jack, sent him to the Babylon Magic and Martial Arts Academy to work as a servant, earning a few silver coins each month
There is a sense of hostility
"Brian, you fool, put your pants on immediately, or I will kill you!" Lisa shouted loudly, but her voice was clearly filled with panic
Oh, it's Jack. What brings you to my room
Upon hearing this, Jack let out a sigh of relief, nodded, and said, "So that's how it is. I thought you had been struck by a 'vengeful spirit' and had become foolish!"
However, after a while, Han Shuo suddenly discovered a remarkable thing: a trace of demonic essence within his body had just flowed to his hips. In the area where the demonic essence had circulated, Lisa's foot struck, and the pain in his hips had lessened.
Little witch Lisa coldly stared at Han Shuo, placing her hands on her hips and speaking in a haughty manner, while her left foot tapped slightly, giving off a somewhat peculiar impression
Han Shuo was sleeping soundly when the door of the grocery store was suddenly pushed open, followed by a loud exclamation of "Wow..."
After finishing this sentence, Han Shuo noticed that the chubby Jack was silent, staring at him blankly, with a face full of flesh and two small eyes resembling yellow beans that looked quite strange. Han Shuo frowned and impatiently asked, "What’s wrong? Am I good-looking?"
Han Shuo felt inexplicably perplexed, secretly thinking that this demonic skill's "solid" realm was indeed a form of "self-torture." While lost in thought, a wisp of demonic essence wandered to his right hip, and then Lisa kicked him, coincidentally landing right where the demonic essence was located on Han Shuo's right hip.
Lisa rubbed her jade-like little feet while angrily shouting. At this moment, several female students from the necromancy department appeared around Han Shuo and Lisa, each looking drowsy and staring coldly at Han Shuo.
Rubbing his sleepy eyes, Han Shuo turned over and saw a short, golden-haired, chubby boy in coarse servant's clothing, with a dark blue left eye, pointing at him in panic. "You... you..." he stammered, unable to complete his sentence
Shouting, Han Shuo dragged Brian and walked out of the grocery store with an air of arrogance. The magic essence within Han Shuo seemed to be swirling even faster!
After saying this, the little witch Lisa shot Han Shuo another glare and left awkwardly. As she entered, she let out a soft exclamation, "Ouch, it hurts! This idiot actually stuffed rocks in his pants. He must have been driven mad by my 'vengeful spirit.'"
With a cold snort, Han Shuo said: "Rest assured, I have my ways. I am crazy, and by now, all the students of the Necromancy department should know that I am insane. I am f***ing crazy, who am I afraid of!"
The second day
Although Jack and Brian are both servants, Jack is not sold to Babylon Academy, thus he enjoys personal freedom, unlike Brian, who is treated as a slave by a slave trader and sold to Babylon Academy of Magic and Martial Arts
While handing a blackened piece of bread to Han Shuo, the chubby Jack happily said that it seemed he would not have to do Brian's work, which made Jack very pleased
Turning his back, with his buttocks facing the four female spirits of the necromancy class, Han Shuo spoke while unfastening his pants. Before his pants could even be pulled down, four piercing screams shattered the air, followed by the sound of hurried footsteps.
Because Jack is not a slave, although he performs the same menial tasks and is similarly bullied by the necromancy students, these necromancy students do not treat him the same way they treat Brian. There will be beatings and occasional small experiments conducted on him, but he will not be treated as a slave whose life is disregarded.
After returning to the grocery store, he carelessly pulled aside the cluttered trash on the small bed and lay down to fall into a deep sleep
Amy seemed to feel some sympathy for Han Shuo, silently glancing at him twice, gently shaking her head and sighing, without saying much, and similarly turned to leave with Bella
The pain in his nose had lessened, and his tears no longer flowed uncontrollably. Han Shuo shifted his body and sat up on the grass. As he looked around, he noticed that the magic apprentices Amy and Asina, along with Bella, who was also a junior magician, were all glaring at him with anger.
After the three female students left, only Lisa and Hu Shuo remained. Lisa glared at Han Shuo several times and coldly said: "You should go do whatever you need to do. I will come to settle accounts with you in a couple of days. Today, I am tired. If you dare to disturb my sleep again, I won't just resort to physical blows; I will use magic to make you go crazy once more"
The originally scorching place, after being traversed by the magical essence, not only experienced a significant reduction in pain but also seemed to have a rather pleasant sensation.
Brian, you fool, why do you have stones in your pants?
Hoo, you scared me to death. Brian, you are not dead, that's great!
"Idiot, what are you staring at? Tell me, why do you have stones in your pants? You've bruised my beautiful legs! Ouch... it hurts so much"
Jack paused and then looked at Han Shuo with even more curiosity, saying: "All these years, you have never actively asked me for food; it has always been me giving it to you before you would eat. Moreover, you wouldn't speak to me like you just did. Brian, I have noticed that you are somewhat different!"
At that moment, the novice magician Bella sighed lightly and said to Lisa: "Oh, Lisa, can't you see that this Brian has gone mad? It seems that your 'vengeful spirit' didn't kill him, but rather drove him insane. What is there for us to argue with a madman?"
Upon further reflection and recalling Brian's memories, Han Shuo realized that Brian hardly spoke with the necromancy students. He simply did whatever others asked of him, with no real interaction. However, Brian and Jack would occasionally engage in conversation. Although most of the time it was Jack speaking and Brian listening, they had spent a considerable amount of time together, which explained why Jack was able to quickly sense his own differences.
"No, this is the black bread I have hidden away; you can take it and eat. It is truly great that you are not dead. Everyone thought you had died, and since a new servant had not been found temporarily, they assigned your work to me. This caused me to get up early and rush over to you. In my haste on the way, I accidentally bumped into Buck and ended up getting beaten up by him, leaving my left eye bruised!"
Seeing the dark circle above Jack's left eye, Han Shuo fiercely bit into the black bread and angrily exclaimed, "Buck hit you again, how outrageous! Let's go take revenge!"
All along, Brian has actually envied the chubby Jack, because Jack can eat his fill at every meal without having to endure inhumane torment. Meanwhile, the chubby Jack can only find a bit of confidence in Brian, which is why the two of them are quite close.
